What’s in a domain name?

I guess the domain to my company (which will be changed shortly) could lead someone to think I was an owner of a interior decorating firm, being as it has a “designgroup” in it.  It’s all sorts of bad.  Also, other things to think about: people cannot pronounce nor spell valhalla design group.  It has been quite a difficult journey with the brand that was never intended for public consumption, and it will come to an end soon enough.

Here is exhibit number 790 on why this name has been a thorn in my side.  Someone thought that this company was an interior design firm, and decided I would be a good fit to force this on my clients:

Uh, Wow.

Apparently my company name says something about me to people.  And this is it.  OK, you win.  Time for a change.

  1. Eclectic reading, and a local hotel named Valhalla Inn, mean that I can spell the name, but I understand your problem. Go simple, but not too simple. I won’t buy a car from Bob’s Motors.
